Wonder

I am inspired by life's mysteries

I have been inspired to reach beyond my comfort zone into an area of creativity where I am least comfortable. I feel drawn to collaborate with my study group, in an effort to infuse the mysterious power that only the arts can convey to illuminate learning, on a creative piece of work that will present to our community the effect that the material we are studying has had on our understanding. I am open to learning how to express sentiments that have touched me through spoken word, rap, singing and chanting. It may be ambitious but the beauty of it is that it is not meant to be a perfectly crafted work of art but a presentation that stems from our hearts. It is amazing to me how excited I am about the prospect of creating something like this and speaks to me of the mystery behind being inspired by the efforts of those Divine Educators and their loyal adherents, in seeking to heal the sick body of the world. It is a call that beckons us all to wed our voices and efforts to seek to find ways to bring about an improved social life on the planet. Just writing this brings chills to my body. I chalk that up to experiencing the mysterious. It is a beautiful thing and the wellspring of creativity.

Yes, so many of us, myself included, tend to believe that nothing short of perfection is acceptable - in all of life, not just in creativity. I wonder if that attitude stems from our more puritanical histories.
