"In truth the stability of every affair hath depended and doth depend upon it." – Baha’u’llah, Tablets of Baha’u’llah, p. 37.
When I look toward the future of an endeavour I am desiring success, wanting to be of the most benefit possible and to attract abundant prosperity as I give of my time and energy. As I look at the ways to bring my initiative to as many folks as possible the very foundation is for me to be worthy of their trust. Trustworthiness is the bedrock of any business or personal covenant. I need not look toward the outcome but first, ensure that the services I am offering, the structure that I am erecting, are what I say they are and do what I say they do. For outcomes not to match what I am offering makes all of my effort meaningless and will have a detrimental effect on my reputation. What is to be done to resist the temptation to make promises in relation to solutions? In this modern way of doing business issuing false promises and disingenuous marketing campaigns are prevalent. People want to know what they will get for their time and money in this age of instant gratification. I have fallen victim to this type of marketing, it draws me in and I buy the product or service only to be disappointed . I know that this is because there are infinite expressions of human diversity and no one product or service may offer a solution to this diversity. But this is not to be viewed as a drawback but the beautiful reality of humanity. As I proceed in building a service, I must strive for impeccable reliability. Grandiose statements of outcomes that make sweeping generalisations have no place here. I must be true to my word and accept the limitations that this implies.
