Day 10 of the Fast
In my current project I am looking into the future, way forward to what could be! This is my super power, I have the image in my mind and then the work is addressing the component parts of the puzzle to realise this wonderous vision and summon the enthusiasm and energy to move in this direction. At times I am the only one with this clear picture in my head and I have to help others to see something similar. Their view may not be the same as mine but we can build a similar picture if we try. This is where the joy of my work meets the practicalities of what is possible. Working for unity and harmony in organisations is really exciting when others are on board, when they too have a desire to make improvements and have an understanding of the work that is involved. It is not an overnight fix but a constant daily effort to create a culture of love and fellowship. My inspiration to do this work comes from the Baha'i Faith and striving to put its teachings into practice in my life . The vision that is clearly before me stems from its guiding principles about the inherent capacities of human beings and what we can create when we leverage these capacities that lie hidden within us. My spiritual perspective on my work may be off putting to some, but it is not intended to offend anyone but only to provide me with a lens and strategies through which I may move beyond accepting the way things are, and toward what is possible. It personifies hope and ensures that I have a way to rise above the hurt and suffering that is all around me and work toward relieving it. The practice of idealism helps me to see the stumbling blocks as stepping stones toward my dream and to persevere.
“The practice of idealism helps me to see the stumbling blocks as stepping stones toward my dream and to preserve.” Sounds like you created an ideal vision for the future, and shined a path to the present.
