Yesterday was an exciting and long day. I am feeling the effects of a late night in my body and in my mind this morning. I have had a plan to meet up with friends for some time and now I am not full of the energy that I would like to have. As I think more deeply about this, meeting with those whose company I enjoy or to meet new friends, is about what I bring to the gathering. Not in a material sense but spiritually. One thing I ought to bring is courtesy, it costs nothing, weighs nothing and it naturally attracts others. I know that courtesy seems to take more effort to flow when I am tired. Instead of forcing it, I need to perhaps open up, soften into being present and then watch courtesy lead the interaction. I love the metaphor that appears on this card, that courtesy is the mirror of the value of those with whom I come into contact. Courtesy is the alchemy that will transform my human exchanges.
