This week at the Wildfire lodge we have been organized into teams - a mix of staff and students. There is a schedule of duties that we undertake, particularly cleaning up after meals. Cleaning up after 100 people is much work but when we come together to work for the good of the entire group it is not such a heavy load. Students are willingly washing dishes, cleaning tables and helping with food prep. All of our abilities are blending to create an atmosphere that none of us could have created alone. I am learning that although I may do something well, I need not do it alone but practice cooperation in allowing others to share the task. It creates community, this is greater than just the completion of the task.
