I consulted my calendar before doing my virtues pick this morning, apprised myself of all of the appointments and study groups I have scheduled for today and then reached into the virtues reservoir for it to reveal it treasures. When cleanliness appeared I furrowed my brow, initially confused and thinking that the virtues treasury had malfunctioned. But then I remembered the advice I gave to a client just yesterday - if we delve deeper together we will find that this virtue is exactly appropriate for the issues you raised! I took my own advice and was amazed at what came up. I have had a busy couple of weeks with long hours facilitating study in Baha'i courses. My working space is littered with print outs of various different courses that I keep promising myself I will go to Staples and purchase a binder and hole punch to keep everything neatly in one place. My work space is crying out for cleanliness. I have been able to attract people who want to be coached in the virtues and I want to bring them, virtually into a space that is welcoming. Another thing is that my kitchen floor has been begging to be mopped for some time and I have been avoiding it. Every other aspect of the kitchen is clean and tidy but I have been neglecting the floor. I am resolved to embrace the practice of keeping my environment beautiful. What a humbling virtue experience I have had!
