I received this virtue card from a Jordanian friend this morning. As I read it, I knew this was exactly what I needed. So this is my virtues pick courtesy of my friend.
Laughter, chuckling and smiling is good therapy for me. I spent some time yesterday with my two youngest boys. Their banter between each other and zany perspective of me as their mother had me rolling around laughing. Among these, as you may well imagine, were really funny references to Bright Line Eating. What I realised later was that as a result of laughing hard, burdens I had been carrying did not seem so heavy, things seemed easier and life did not appear so bad. Laughter is therapy, as I could look at things differently, see the daft humour in it all and realise that it is possible to transcend the seriousness of my earthly existence. Life on this earth can really be deeply, absurdly funny. I am carrying yesterday's cheerfulness into today with a new lens, one that warrants a smile.
