I know what my real priorities are when I take the time to look back on my week and reflect on how I spent my time and how I reacted to my environment. This past week has been a mixed bag of enjoying the last of the school break and keeping a breast of plans and goals. School is back in now and I have eagerly volunteered to help out where I can. I tend to begin a new term this way and then this newfound energy wanes as the term draws to a close. I would like to keep this in check to moderate my energy levels better so that I am not feeling so utterly exhausted when graduation rolls around. A time that needs my creative energy and joy. The practice of continually asking myself "What is my responsibility in this?" will assist me in keeping tabs on myself, my relationships and environment. It is not productive for me to only see what is wrong and blame others, but to assess my own reality and hold myself to account.
